Just a few days ago I heard fron my colleague that the club is going to cut about 10 workouts exercises classes from each club and at the same time we also got an email from the coordinator that the management is looking into the class numbers and is going to take out classes that has poor attendance. Reasons due to the econormic downturn.
Then on the eve of New Year’s Day, the management decided to cut we exercise fitness trainer rates. It’s very depressing to recieve that before the New Year. Looks like even the the fitness giants will have to face the wrath of the world financial crisis. This is something that we exercise fitness trainer would not like to hear.
I think its about time we come out of our comfort zone and start thinking of how to save the situation. For us body fitness exercise instructor, classes are money, losing classes means taking a pay cut. Well during these time, everybody are prepared to take a pay cut but whether if its a small or big one depends on us.
Unless the company is suffering badly and has to cut even the good classes, otherwise there is always ways to help ourselves. Its Time to make things happen and not wait for things to happen.
Let’s face the reality, the numbers are what make or break you. How to boost the numbers for your workouts exercises class? Most people love new or fresh stuff, how about we go on to the Internet and check out new workouts program that we can introduce to our clubs.
Do some research and check out the popular workouts program. There are a lot of home study workouts routines programs that can easily pick up and start teaching in our clubs.
Ask around if you have some expats or people who travel alot in your classes about the body fitness exercise classes they do in other countries. They may tell you what’s popular in that country that is not found here in Singapore or Asia.
Time to upgrade! Take some new workouts program courses and attend seminars. Get to know what’s new in the market or simply improve on our teaching.
Be a student, attend other teacher’s classes especially the popular ones, learn how the teacher communicate with the members and how he focus on his teachings. Observe how he/she creates the atmoshpere, fun, full of energy, do you feel a sense of accomplishment after the class. Notice his/her workouts routines if you can learn something new and incorporate into your own teachings.
The bottom line is trying to improve yourself and keep coming out with new workouts program whether it is for muscle building routines or fast weight loss exercise. If you can command good numbers for your body fitness exercise classes, you are pretty much indispensable.
